GIANT MAP AT RED OAKS SCHOOL
01 May 2010
Last week, in glorious sunshine, all 480 pupils of Red Oaks school marched around the painted coastline of a giant map of Great Britain.
As part of this term's Great Britain project, headteacher Terri Menham had invited local marketing business Elevation to come in to the school to help paint the 60m x 40m map on to the school field. The school children made artwork of British landmarks, including Big Ben, Stonehenge and Loch Ness to place within the map and learn about it’s geography.
Ian from Red House Photography took a series of aerial photographs of the children waving and jumping around the outside of the map.
