PRIORY VALE VISITOR CENTRE REMOVED
01 December 2009
An icon of the North Swindon Expansion - The Priory Vale Visitor Centre - has been dismantled and removed in preparation for the land to revert to residential use.
Located at junction 8 of Thamesdown Drive, the landmark building – designed by the award-winning NC Architects team – covered around 1000 square feet and featured a spacious exhibition hall, meeting room, office, kitchen and boasted contemporary architecture and construction throughout.
Since Priory Vale's launch, staff at the Visitor Centre provided homeseekers with advice and support, but in March 2007 with the development an established location, the centre closed it's doors for good. Since then the building has been used as a sales centre for house builder Persimmon Homes.
