Since 1981, Scouts across the UK have been licensed to deliver Christmas cards as part of a Scout Post between the 25th November and 1st January. In Swindon this helps to raise funds for Groups and raises the profile of Scouting within the local community.
Stamps cost 18p each, regardless of size or weight of the card, and collection, sorting and delivery is carried out by Leaders, parents and group members.
The Group which caters for girls and boys has three sections covering Beavers (6-8 year), Cubs (8-10½ years) and Scouts (10½-14 years) and have recently moved to a bigger meeting venue due to increasing numbers.
