The North Swindon Development Company (NSDC) has presented a fully equipped police car to the Wiltshire Constabulary. The sponsorship represents a commitment to achieving the vital goals of safety and security in the planned urban village of Priory Vale.
At a handover ceremony at Westlea Police Station in Swindon, Priory Vale director, David Thompson said, "We hope that the tradition of safety and lack of crime, promoted first in Abbey Meads, is continued in our latest development. The sponsorship of this vehicle is our way of thanking the local police force for assisting us in making Priory Vale a protected place for families to live."
PC Denis Taylor will drive the car, which is a new 4-wheel drive Honda CR-V. At the handover function he said, “I would like to acknowledge the generosity of the NSDC in providing this vehicle to the Wiltshire Police. This is a tremendous asset to policing the area and will benefit the community we serve.”
