1000th Resident
11 November 2004
The Priory Vale development greeted its 1000th residents with a grand selection of welcome gifts. Picking up the keys to their new three-bedroom home, Christopher Stephens and Joanna Feaver were presented with champagne, a bouquet of flowers, £100 of vouchers, and a meal for two at a top local hotel.
"We're surprised and delighted to receive these wonderful gifts," smiled Joanna. "Everyone at Priory Vale and Bryant Homes have been fantastic, helping our move go ahead without a hitch. The presents are the icing on the cake and we couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome."
Joanna first visited Priory Vale in the summer with her partner, Christopher. "We initially looked at second-hand properties around Swindon but nothing really fitted the bill," she said. "However, from the moment we saw Priory Vale, we fell in love with the development."
For Joanna, Priory Vale's rural look and feel proved a major selling point: "Coming from just outside Henley-on-Thames, I'm used to living in the country. Throughout Priory Vale, there's a real sense of space and, unlike some developments, the homes aren't packed closely together. Priory Vale blends the best of both worlds: a beautiful location with all the conveniences of living in a contemporary town."
As Joanna explained, Priory Vale's convenient location will also help Christopher fulfil his rock n' roll duties as drummer in top local band, The Hours. "He gigs regularly throughout the town and beyond, playing such venues as The Furnace and Riffs Bar," she said. "With the A419 and M4 just round the corner, he's never more than a short drive away from his next show."
"Bryant Homes is delighted to welcome Joanna and Christopher to their new home at the Vale," said Sally Oviatt, Bryant Homes' regional sales manager. "Priory Vale is fast becoming an established new community in Swindon and we're proud to be a part of its success story."
