Priory Vale continue their support of FC Abbey Meads
After a recent successful trials day, Chairman of FC Abbey Meads, Dave Mulley stated that for the forthcoming season, the club will be running two teams in the North Wilts & District Minors League. The existing team will compete in the U11's age group whilst the new team will compete in the U9's.
The Priory Vale consortium of housebuilders have generously agreed to continue their sponsorship and will provide additional kit for the team. Club Treasurer, Adam Piatek conveyed a big thank you to Sam Allen and the Priory Vale developers for their loyal support and continued sponsorship. Sam Allen confirmed Priory Vale's support for the club, "We are delighted to continue our association with FC Abbey Meads and wish them every success for the coming season."
Club Secretary, Tanya Parkinson confirmed that the existing Under 10's team, got off to a great start in their first season, finishing runners up in the North Wilts & District Minors League West Division. "In the new season we will be playing in a more competitive North division as an 11-a-side team. Graham Rose has joined as coach for the under 9's side, and we wish him every luck in his new role!" Tanya continued.
Dave Mulley summed up by saying, "Our aim as a club is to promote football in the community and to give the children the opportunity to develop, enjoy and to play the game locally. We hope that our ethos of positive coaching and encouragement, will contribute to the children's enjoyment of football and will promote a successful club as we continue to expand".
