PROTECTING CLIFFORD MEADOW

The North Swindon Development Company (NSDC) has created a management plan to reduce Priory Vale's environmental impact on Clifford Meadow (previously entitled Haydon Meadow). To date, the NSDC has erected an information board to the south of the meadow and fenced off the area. In the future, NSDC will establish a viewing mound in an area of open space overlooking Clifford Meadow. This beautiful medieval meadow plays host to an array of rare flora and fauna, including the Green Winged orchid, Forester Moth and Great Crested Newt.
