Bridlewood
Primary School
"We've been based in Priory Vale
since 2004 on land granted to us by
the NSDC. Our oldest class, year six,
has only 5 pupils, but now our intakes
are around 30. With just over 180 children
in all, we're still one of the smaller
schools in the area, however, there's
a warm 'happy family' atmosphere here.
This year, staff and pupils will again
support the Chernobyl Children Lifeline
charity. It's great to see the children
taking such a keen interest in helping
others."

Brimble
Hill Primary School
"Everything's going extremely well.
In September, we took the keys of a
new 17-seater bus, and for Christmas,
we took part in lots of activities,
including concerts and a party on 21
December. Already, we've established
an excellent relationship with Red Oaks.
Children often come across to use our
play areas, while our pupils spend time
in Red Oaks' classes. For Brimble Hill,
inclusiveness is so important."

Uplands
Secondary School
"On 8 November, we celebrated our
first birthday at the Learning Campus.
The children brought in pictures and
photos of the school, and we all enjoyed
some music and birthday cake. The facilities
here are so much better than our old
school. For the future, we're looking
forward to forging closer links with
Isambard, for example, by taking part
in shared dance activities and workshops.
We couldn't be happier here. It's fantastic."

Isambard
Community School
"I love it here. Already, the feedback
from parents and pupils has been extremely
positive. We're taking part in many
activities, including dance, workshops
with people from the Royal Shakespeare
Company, and a concert covering the
history of North America in song. This
Spring, we're bidding to become a specialist
arts college, which will offer extra
resources. There's a great buzz throughout
the school."

Red
Oaks Primary School
"With 450 pupils and many new staff,
Red Oaks is thriving. We've also recently
received the Healthy Schools Award,
Basic Skills Award, with Investors for
People and the Gold Artsmark to come.
Even though things are progressing brilliantly,
there's always room to improve. The
future is all about maintaining our
high standards. It's exhilarating –
like a funfair you never want to leave!"

Orchid
Vale Primary School
"We now have almost 200 pupils
with spaces filling up quickly. We already
have the Health School status and we're
applying for the Gold Artsmark. What's
more, our Forest School is proving hugely
popular. We're still looking for funding,
so if anyone can help pay for equipment
for the area, please get in touch. From
parents and pupils to businesses, we
pride ourselves on including everyone
in our work."
